Lourdes M. Leal Oteiza

Associate Attorney Lourdes M. Leal Oteiza graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she double majored in Communication Studies and French.
After completing her undergraduate studies, she held the positions of receptionist and legal assistant at two small Immigration law firms in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. This early experience confirmed her interest and passion for immigration law.
Ms. Leal then earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She has been admitted to practice law in the State of Texas since 2012, and since 2016, has also been admitted to practice before the Western District Court for the State of Texas.
She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2011. As a native of Puerto Rico, she is fluent in English and in Spanish. Ms. Leal is happy to call Austin, Texas her forever home together with her husband, son and dog Luna; GO STARS!

La Abogada Asociada Lourdes M. Leal Oteiza se graduó de la Universidad Vanderbilt en Nashville, Tennessee, donde cumplió un bachillerato doble en Estudios de Comunicación y el Francés.
Después de terminar su licenciatura, trabajó como recepcionista y asistente legal en dos bufetes migratorios pequeños en el área de Raleigh-Durham, Carolina del Norte. Esta experiencia inicial respaldo su interés y pasión por el derecho migratorio.
La abogada Leal obtuvo su Doctorado en Jurisprudencia por la Escuela de Derecho de la Universidad de Wake Forest, en Winston-Salem, Carolina del Norte. Lourdes obtuvo su licencia en el Estado de Texas desde el 2012, y desde el 2016 también fue admitida en la Corte del Distrito Oeste para el Estado de Texas. Es miembro de la Asociación Americana de Abogados de Inmigración (AILA) desde el 2011.
Nacida en Puerto Rico, es bilingüe en español e inglés. La Sra. Leal se siente afortunada de haber hecho su hogar en Austin, Texas junto con su esposo, hijo y perrita Luna; GO STARS!
